Food For Thought: Begin Modestly, But Begin!

“The best place to have some food set aside is within our homes. …We can begin ever so modestly. We can begin with a one week’s food supply and gradually build it to a month, and then to three months. …I fear that so many feel that a long-term food supply is so far beyond their reach that they make no effort at all. Begin in a small way, …and gradually build toward a reasonable objective.”      -President Gordon B. Hinkley, November 2002

As we begin this journey together, take heart in knowing you are following the counsel of living prophets. And it doesn’t hurt to know that you are in good company with many others on the same path. We’re all trying to do what is right. And while it is important to take it a step at a time, the key is to take that first step! You can’t get to the end if you never start. So if you haven’t already done so, commit to start today and take that first step!
